Artist Statement
Through her art work, Trabandt examines different vague constitutions of human nature and the surroundings created by these.
Especially in her photobooks but also in her photographic installations she explores the conjunction between her documentary and conceptual work and is very much interested in different perceptions of 'reality' through photography.
Her photographs have been exhibited and published in Berlin, Potsdam, Cape Town, New York and London.
Sonja Trabandt is photojournalist, designer and artist based in Berlin.
