Artist Statement
I am drawn to the sublime and mundane aspects of the world around me. I view light as the central theme of my work, and train my camera on the phenomenal world, regardless of subject. For me, the act of photographing serves as a reflection and meditation on the temporal nature of life.
Process Statement
I work with an 8x10 field camera and utilize the platinum/palladium printing process. I hand coat Beinfang layout bond and expose my emulsion to an ultraviolet light source.
More recently I began experimenting with printing these negatives digitally. Working in collaboration with FiberInk Studio, I am curious about alternate ways to experiencing my work.
How to use our image viewer
Click on any of the thumbnail images to launch the viewer. You can then navigate forward and backward within the portfolio by clicking the left or right side of the enlarged image. Click the add to collection checkbox to automatically add an image to your collection. Image tags or search engine keywords appear below the collections' checkbox and each word or phrase is a link to potentially more image matches.
