Artist Statement
My practice has been described as straight photography with a twist – working in the space between documentary photography – showing the truth about the world – and conceptual photography, which contends that such a truth can never be depicted and might not even exist.
I am of Maori and Pakeha descent and whakapapa to Kai Tahu, Kati Mamoe and Kati Waewae iwi.
