Artist Statement
"Mauro Fiorese forces us to realize that the ordinary moments of day to day living can be and are truly transcendent if our gaze is properly set and we are open and attuned to miracles. Mauro Fiorese could be called "the unexpected mystic.(...)If one word were used to describe Fiorese's work, the word would have to be compassion. At the core of that understanding is something spiritual. That is one of the things Fiorese's art insists upon us and it forces us to recall and acknowledge"
JOHN WOOD
Process Statement
Technical approaches and processes can change with a new project or with a new vision. For several years I've been only working with medium format black and white film and analogical Hasselblad. Today I switched to a new digital Hasselblad that enable me to work pretty much in the same way, supporting me not only with the quality of the final image but also with the quality of my vision. I Think before I shoot. I think before I print. Than... the image is ready.
