Artist Statement
Lisa Wiseman’s photography is about transitions, in-between spaces, and liminal moments. She explores images as the quiet pause between the before and after. Lisa has always been fascinated by collective memories and identity formation; the intersection of these things informs and shapes her photography. Lisa was honored as one of Photo District News’ (PDN’s) 30 Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2009 and has received numerous other accolades. She lives and works in San Francisco where she enjoys cooking and collecting contemporary art.
