Artist Statement
I am a 19-year old London-based photographer and Anthropology student. Recently, my work has been concerned with ideas of representation and the nature of photography as a communicatory vehicle.
I also co-curate a project called Fourteen-Nineteen, which is dedicated towards exploring and exposing young photographic ingenuity. We are best known for a widely-followed online curated gallery, but now we spend most of our time publishing books and zines, and curating a selection of other independently made and self-published ephemera for our bookshop space in South London and online shop.
Process Statement
I work a lot with found imagery, drawing connections between the sourced and the original to weave abstract narratives and create new discursive spaces. Much of my work is conceptual and based around connections and relationships - between the viewer and image, or between subject matter and form.
