A psychology major turned photographer and educator, John Hirsch received a professional certificate in photography from The Maine Photographic Workshops in 2002. He has taught photography workshops in Maine and Boston and is presently teaching at Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, MA. John's work is rooted in a documentary style, illuminating quiet moments in emergent or changing societies as well as allowing us to probe and reflect on the ideas of community, recreation and land use in the American psyche.
