Artist Statement
My past work examines man's relationship to the alpine environment. I am currently working on a project where I double expose medium format negatives in camera to depict memories, how they overlap in our mind and merge to create dream-like recollections. Nostalgia, the speed at which time is passing, the elusiveness of memory and collective memory are all contemporary concerns which I explore, as well as the role of photography in creating and solidifying experience and memory.
Process Statement
All my work is shot on medium format film and drum scanned.
