Cynthia Henebry was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1973. Her work explores themes of contemporary family life, particularly from the viewpoint of a child. She has exhibited at the Page Bond Gallery in Richmond, Virginia as well as the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center and Daniel Cooney Fine Art as well as many other galleries in Virginia, Georgia, Los Angeles, North Carolina, Chicago, New York and Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is currently pursuing her MFA in photography and film at Virginia Commonwealth University.
