Process Statement
The photographs on this site have been taken with a large-format camera or medium format rangefinder. All negatives are scanned and the final images are printed on an Archival Pigment Printer.
Antone Dolezal is from the eastern plains of Oklahoma and currently lives in Santa Fe, NM. He is an artist and writer who makes work primarily about the American social landscape and its relationship with history and folklore. A solo exhibition of his project Ghost Town was recently on display at the Santa Fe University of Art & Design and his photographs have also been seen in group exhbitions at photo-eye Bookstore in Santa Fe and Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco. His first book Spook Light Chronicles vol 1, co-authored with artist Lara Shipley, was recently published through independent publisher Search Party Press. Antone's work has been featured on National Public Radio, Oxford American, PDN Online, Huffington Post and his writing has appeared in Fototazo, Feature Shoot, photo-eye, Fraction and Ahorn Magazine.
