Artist Statement
Andrew Kaufman is a successful editorial, advertising photographer who doesn’t fit the mold of many of his contemporaries. He produces a tremendous amount of personal work, in every format imaginable and is really someone who is impossible to categorize. He was worked for newspapers, magazines, ad agencies, art directors, collectors and has somehow managed to avoid the mass homogenization of imagery that now seems to be prevalent in those fields(no easy task). Andrew has the tenacity and patience of a wisened soul. He can sit through Hell and reveal Heaven's glory through a soul that is oftentimes tormented with the realities and struggles of life's chaos or find the celebration in a simple unspoken gesture. He is thoughtful in his work, and a considerate soul of magnitude, but very unassuming. In fact, wonderful to work with.
Process Statement
I work with film. I am old school. My work is hand crafted. I have passion for what I do.

One day he might be shooting 6x7 for an ad client and the next 4x5 for a personal project. He has worked for magazines, agencies, art directors, ad clients and collectors and has somehow managed to avoid the mass homogenisation of imagery that now seems to be prevalent in those fields.
Andrew's current clients include State Farm, The Home Depot, Rolling Stone, Leo Burnett, DBB, Marlboro, NFL, TIME, OUTSIDE, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Arthur Frommer's, Worth, Smithsonian, Audubon, Popular Mechanics, Golf Digest, and many, many others.
